Data Deletion

ShiftManagerAI will delete your account and the personal data tied to it on request. This page explains how to make the request and what happens after.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to privacy@shiftmanager.ai from the email address linked to your account.
- Use the subject line Data deletion request.
- Include the organization name and, if applicable, the employee record(s) you want deleted (your own only, unless you are the organization Manager).
What we delete
- Your user account and authentication data.
- If you are the Manager who owns the organization: the organization, its employees, shifts, schedules, availability marks, and messaging links.
- If you are an employee: your employee record, contact details, availability marks, and messaging links. Shifts and assignments referencing your record are anonymized.
Timeline
We complete deletion within 30 days of receiving the request. Backup snapshots that include your data are overwritten on the standard 35-day rotation.
Limits
- We may retain a minimum amount of data where the law requires us to (for example, financial records or audit logs we are obligated to keep).
- Messages already delivered over WhatsApp, Telegram, or email are stored on those providers' systems and on recipient devices. Their deletion is governed by those providers' policies, not ours.
- If your record was entered into the Service by your employer, your employer is the controller of that data. We will route your request to them.
Confirmation
Once deletion is complete, we send a confirmation email to the address that made the request.
